The Framingham Centre Nursery School is housed in an attractive brick building that is centrally located at Framingham Common on the corner of Vernon Street and Edgell Road. The school's facility was specifically designed for educational purposes and includes all the safety, educational and recreational features necessary to support a rich and varied program for young children.

You are invited to schedule a tour to see first-hand that play really is a child's work. In our developmental program learning is embedded in activities that are as much fun for children as they are opportunities for cognitive and social growth. Teachers create a print-rich environment in which children begin to understand the functional use of letters and numbers as they measure and add ingredients to a recipe, make a graph of apple taste tests or look at the visual cues that will tell them how many children will comfortably fit in a learning center at one time. Perhaps you'll see fantastically dressed children engaged in dramatic play that permits them to try on another identity for size, perhaps as the architects and engineers who have to cooperate with each other if they want to create the tallest skyscraper ever. Or maybe you'll have the pleasure of observing a young Picasso up to his or her elbows in paint as exploration of the medium becomes a tool of creativity.

You're welcome to a ringside seat in the large recreation hall where children can dance, play and participate in gym activities as they learn with their whole bodies during the programming that is regularly offered there.

The spacious fenced-in playground is set back from the main street to provide privacy and safety. Wooded areas within the school property afford excellent opportunity for nature and science studies.
